Nha Rong Wharf was built in 1863, the former headquarter of French Five Star Vessel Corporate located at the junction of the Saigon River and Ben Nghe river. The building has two dragons on the roof, like “two dragons flanking the moon” so often be call with the name “The Dragon house”, therefore, the wharf belongs to this region is also called Dragon house Wharf (Nha Rong Wharf).

Here, on 06th, May, 1911, Vietnamese youth – Nguyen Tat Thanh go to seek the ways for national salvation. The youth found the way to save the country ‘s former is President Ho Chi Minh later.

Since September, 1979, the Dragon house is used as an exhibition showing objects of life activities of President Ho Chi Minh. In October 1995, the memorial house was renamed Ho Chi Minh Museum, branch in Ho Chi Minh City. Every year, it welcomed millions of domestic and foreign tourists.
