Nha Rong Wharf was built in 1863, the former headquarter of French Five Star Vessel Corporate located at the junction of the Saigon River and Ben Nghe river. The building has two dragons on the roof, like “two dragons flanking the moon” so often be call with the name “The Dragon house”, therefore, the wharf belongs to this region is also called Dragon house Wharf (Nha Rong Wharf).

Nha Rong Wharf has been well-known not because of its history of establishment as well as the remaining of ancient French architecture in Ho Chi Minh city but because of noble and sacred spiritual values that Vietnamese people keep and protect. Here, on 06th, May, 1911, Vietnamese youth – Nguyen Tat Thanh go to seek the ways for national salvation. After more than 30 years of traveling overseas, Nguyen Tat Thanh became revolutionary leaders guide Vietnam People to conduct the August Revolution, established the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. The youth found the way to save the country ‘s former is President Ho Chi Minh later.

Since  September, 1979, the Dragon house is used as an exhibition showing objects of life activities of President Ho Chi Minh. In October 1995, the memorial house was renamed Ho Chi Minh Museum, branch in Ho Chi Minh City. Every year, it welcomed millions of domestic and foreign tourists.
