On first days of Spring, Ong temple and Ba temple in Ho Chi Minh city welcomes crowd of pilgrims come to offer incense and pray for a happy new year.

Tue Thanh Dining Hall in Ba temple
Thiem Hau temple is a sacred place shrine Thien Hau Mother of Chinese people from Quang Dong province, China.
According to legend, Thien Hau is a pious and virtuous Chinese woman. Because of admiring and respecting her, the Chinese built a temple to remind next generations of taking her as a sample of filial piety to their parents and sacrificing themselves for everyone.
The temple was built in 1760 and has been restored many times but still remains Chinese style including architecture, surface structure and material. Brick, tile, ceramic … was brought from South of China. The temple consists of three main shrines: front shrine, middle shrine and main hall. Two sides of temple is Tue Thanh dining hall and school.
Every year, on occasion of Tet holiday, first day of month, full moon, especially the day of the Lady’s soul (23rd of March, lunar calendar), crowd of Chinese and Vietnamese people come to worship.
Nghia An Dining Hall- Ong Temple
The temple’s architecture carries ancient Chinese styles, over 200 years old. The Ong temple worships Guan Yun Zhang. The temple was a dining hall of Trieu Chau people and restored in 1866, 1901, 1966, 1984. The architecture and decoration of the temple are imbued with Chinese style in design, statues, ceramic reliefs on the roof or reverse sculpture flowers, unicorn statue, etc.
The main hall has the altar of Quan Thanh, the statue in 300 cm high, wears green brocade coat, sits on the throne. Two sides of the altar has statues of Quan Binh and Chau Xuong near 200 cm high, placed in a glass case.
Every year, the shrine of Quan De is held on 24th of June lunar calendar and the most worship ceremony in the temple.
